We also buy American Silver Eagles, Canadian Silver Maple Leafs, generic one-ounce rounds, and 1, 5, 10, and 100 oz bars from any refiner, as long as the bar is stamped .999 fine.

How Many Coins Do You Need?
We meet by appointment only, so please have a meaningful quantity for sale. We cannot make a trip for a few coins. Text a photo or use the online quote form and we will tell you quickly whether it makes sense to meet.
Rare Dates and Key Coins
Most 90% coins trade on silver content, but a few dates and mint marks are collectible. If you think you have a rare date, send a close-up of both sides and we will tell you what we see.
What We Pay
Cook County Buyers pays on a sliding scale based on the type and resale potential of the silver:
- Sterling flatware: minimum 65% of melt/spot value (reflecting refining costs).
- Coins and bars (.999 or recognized pure silver): up to 90% of market value.
- Designer silver jewelry or vintage Navajo jewelry: can be substantially higher, often well above 100% of melt value, priced on current resale/collector demand rather than metal content alone.
